Château Activities
Cast your eyes on your next adventure, whether it’s inside (for the more relaxing exploits) or out (perfect for adrenaline junkies), or get a real taste of blood-pumping action with a trek up the mountains of Snowdonia and see if you can reach the peaks. Château Rhianfa is a great base to unwind, relax and recharge in a fantastic location that’s great for exploring.
North Wales is the adventure capital of the UK, well-known for kayaking, coasteering, paddle boarding, zip wires and much more! We’ve listed a few of the most popular activities below, however if an activity that interests you isn’t mentioned simply ask just ask and we will do our best to organise it for you.
What better place to enjoy the fun experience of wine tasting than the atmospheric Wine Cave in our French-style Château. Learn how to perfect your ‘sniff, swirl and slurp’ technique before embarking on an exciting journey around the world, traveling through taste as you sample a range of wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, to Chardonnay, Moscato and Riesling. (Over 18’s only.)
Shake and stir your favourite cocktails with all the much-loved fun and theatre in the unique ambience of our grade ll-listed Château. Learn to make the perfect martini that would even impress 007 as you taste the difference between a Cosmopolitan and a Kamikaze, sip on the perfect Margarita and have a go at making a Blue Hawaii. (Over 18’s only.)

Feel the ripple of the waves beneath you as you take in some of the finest of Welsh landscapes during an exciting sightseeing excursion like no other.
Embark on an exciting tour of our unique surroundings and explore the magnificent architecture of our French-style Château with and discovery around every corner. Uncover the fairytale story behind our unique character immersed with our Welsh roots here in Anglesey. Join us for a gin tasting experience and taste your way over borders and seas on a ginjourney which will leave you an expert, and full of gin!

However once you’ve finished exploring our enchanting grounds, discover the alluring poetry of the Welsh countryside that forms part of our charming character. The colourful patchwork of the rolling hills of Snowdonia stands as our backdrop, blended together with the flowing waters of the Menai Straits, it’s a picture worthy of a watercolour. And, while you’re with us, it’s all yours with Château Rhianfa hosting the perfect base for exploring Anglesey and North Wales. As the adventure capital of the UK you’ll never be short of places to inspire your next move – for outdoorsy types it will leave you cock-a-hoop. You don’t even have to venture far from our doorstep to go on an exciting ramble or mountain bike trek. We’ll happily point you in the right direction for anything you fancy allowing you to go forth at your own pace on a whole new and exciting adventure.
Just 16 miles from the Château is Pant Du Vineyard which lies at the foothills of Snowdonia. Pant Du Vineyard offers spectacular views over the mountain range as well as producing award winning Wines and Cider. Pant Du offer a range of tours and group trips.
Marvel at over 150 weird and wonderful creatures from around our coasts including the Lobster Hatchery and Seahorse Nursery, then walk the over-whelming Shark Pool and glimpse huge fish in the Kelp Forest.
A wonderful place to watch thousands of breeding seabirds including razorbills and puffins. Visitors may tour the former engine room before climbing to the top of the lighthouse to see the lamp and some amazing views.
The last of the castles built by King Edward I in Wales, the most sophisticated example of medieval military architecture in Britain. A fantastic day out right on our doorstep!
Visit Penrhyn Quarry and experience the longest zip line in the world. Over a mile in length you can fly solo through the skies at over 100mph, 500ft up in the air!
The world’s first subterranean playground of its kind. This surreal experience is set within a disused slate cavern installed with massive bouncy nets to jump around in.
Just over 30 minutes from Château Rhianfa, the Anglesey Race Circuit provides the opportunity to watch high speed motorsports events or to take a supercar for a spin yourself.
Adventure Activities
Actions speak louder than words with an energised wealth of opportunity to try a new adventure here at Château Rhianfa in Anglesey.
